Good Health

Since coming to Calgary, I have good health. This is because every morning I take one pills of vitamins. Also the evironment of Calgary is to clean comparatively with my country. I can say, I have three months of perfect health. Sometimes when I was sick in Venezuela, my wife prepared for me a special family soup with a lot of vegetables, eggs and chicken. This soup always made me feel better. I think everyone should take vitamins daily, eat healthy, practices any sport or do exercises and visit the doctor once time a year. Using these humble advice might not get sick.

Market Mall

I alway go to the Market Mall, because there can find all I need. The Parking is great and always get to park. The mall has over 200 stores. My favourite store in the mall is Best Buy. I usually buy new technology and in this store I can find it. The last thing I bought was a laptop for my son Franciscquito, and I got a good price. Whenever I drink a coffee and a donas Tim Horton's are delicious. In the mall has a very good hairdresser. There are many places to sit and relax. For all this reasons is my favourite mall in Calgary, and I recommend to all my friends visit it.

Kaliman's Adventures

When I was child, all the weeks I read the Kaliman's Comics. Kaliman was a Indu warrior, and he had been trained in the uses of entired mind. He traveled to many places around the world and had some fantastic adventures. He had a small disciples called solim, and he shared all his adventures. The chapter that I remember more was one of a bad scientist named Humanon, this scientist used a lot of experiments with humans. During this chapter he put the head of one his old partners, in the body of a young indians. Kaliman had could use telepathy and he was very strong. I was always every monday to the bookstore to buy another chapter of Kaliman, and I really enjoyed it.

Public Transit Etiquette

The C-Train in Calgary is good, especially compared with the public transportation in Venezuela. In my country the public transportation is really bad. We don't have any maps for know where the buses go or any schedule for them. The drivers passed when they want. Sometimes they are really rudes with the passengers, and the have an assistant who is the person in charger to colet the money for the use of the bus. There are no rules with the number of people they can get on the buses and often are too crowded. Is normal when you hear the driver screaming, walk to the end of the bus is growing. In addition there are just a few bus stops and they stopping when they want. Buses are big and the drivers are really rude to individual drivers even they take a way the right of be on the route. For all these reason I believe that the public trasportation in Calgary is amazing.

The World South Africa 2010

Every four years is the world cup of soccer, this year is in South Africa and is the first time this happens in Africa and there are many expectations about this.

Venezuela is a country where most people prefer baseball, whoever this is changing all the days. Every year grow more soccer fans and is for the extraordinary performing of the soccer players around the world. Many young people tray to copy the moves of the yours favourite players. Ronaldo, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, are just a few excellent players who played arround the world. In this world cup I will try to watch as many games as that I can. In my childhood I play soccer often with my friends in my neighbourhood. For some time I had been joging and I keep doing this in Calgary. My two favourites team are Argentina and Spain; I hope one of them can win.

Calgary a great place to live.

Any big city in the world has crimes and Calgary is not an exception; however, comparable to the number of people it has is very safe city. Calgary has almost the same population that my hometown Maracaibo. Every weekend there are at least six violet crimes. The last time I was victim of a crime was in my work, when tree guys entered and assaulted all the people who were there. Is a coommon practice in Maracaibo that the people are going to their work or homes by different routes to avoid being followed by the criminals. The best way to prevent any crimes is to be vigilant and inform to police about any suspicious activity.

Christmas in Venezuela

In Venezuela we don't have a special holiday in spring or sumer season, but the favourite holiday for the most Venezuelan people is Christmas. In Venezuela the Christmas begins in november with the celebration of the feast of the Virgen de la Chiquinquira, who is the patron of all Zulians people. Additionally we have much custom for this season. Family comes together and prepare a typical Venezuelan dish called Hallaca. All family members have to bring some ingredients to prepare this special food. My father always takes care of buying the pig, which is one of the main ingredients. In the preparation of the hallacas whole family are involved, it was very funny that even the small children have tasks to perform. In Christmas Eve all the family members shera some gift. Close to the midnight the whole family meets in the backyard of the house to wait twelve o'clock at night and give the hug of the New Year. After midnight the people carry some bags and star to do twelve laps around the house. The meaning of this, is just for give you good look in your travel in this new year. All these and many more reason is Christmas my favourite holiday.
